Question by livelovelaugh: What is the difference between Hasbro and Takara Tomy Beyblades?
My brother has recently gotten very interested in Beyblades – the TV show and the physical game. It annoys me because I find it stupid and a waste of money – don’t judge me, I’m allowed to have my opinion.
Anyways, he has been asking recently for “Takara Tomy” Beyblades. He says the ones he has now are “Hasbro”. We looked online and I don’t see much of a difference except that the Takara Tomy ones are a lot more expensive.
Can anyone tell me what the difference is? Why is Takara Tomy considered “better”? Please don’t answer “better quality” or anything general like that because, like I said, I don’t understand “Beyblades” or anything anime for that matter.
Please explain the difference because I honestly don’t see any. It’s so I can see whether buying them would be stupid, especially considering he already has about 20 of the other ones.

Answer by BonjourHommeTakara Tomy is the Japanese variant of any Hasbro make. There may be a sleight difference in quality, although I don’t think so. There may also be variations in the design, such as colors, metal/plastic, etc. Although I don’t think the Takara Tomy ones are better, you should do some research on the specific Beyblade you want to buy, to see if the Takara version is better than the Hasbro version. Takara and Hasbro work together on some toys, such as Beyblades and Transformers. The reason Takara Beyblades are a lot more expensive is because they are hard to obtain here in America, so people in Asia buy Takara Beyblades and sell them on eBay or any website of the likes for a lot of money to people like your brother here on the other side of the Earth. Hope I helped.
